St Michael's Last Light
St Michael's Last Light-
As time passes the iconic view of St Michael’s Mount in Marazion at the end of a long day, the view remains powerful, drawing the eye, and enriching the imagination.
Looking out to St Michael’s Mount is somewhere I love to spend time, as do many others. This place holds so much history, and many happy memories for many visitors over the years. A special place to treasure.
I took a mini adventure in the van down around this beautiful place, St Michael’s Mount, Nr Penzance, Cornwall.
There had been heavy rain pass through which literally cleared the surrounding beach of people.
The strong wind whistling through carrying sand, whipping it around me made for an unpleasant beach walk, but I persisted anyway.
Venturing around to the other side of the causeway, it was sheltered from the harsh wind. Pleasantly relieved from the pain of the sand, it was like a different day that I had walked into.
I was instantly drawn to the idea of this composition, with a long shutter exceeding the value of visual time, smoothing out the scene to capture it perfectly.
St Michael's Mount, Marazion, a place where I love to spend some time reflecting.
